Hi there, I'm Amy Cameron!

Over the past 20 years of my teaching career, I have found that everyone's needs are special. I tailor lessons to the specific learning style of each student neurodivergent or not. I endeavour to meet every student right where they are at each time they have a lesson. I strive to make each lesson a good experience in the hopes of helping them to build self esteem and support their love of music and learning.

Theory, technique, and expression.

Depending on interest and ability, I incorporate as much music theory into lessons as possible.

Technique is very important as well.  All limitations are taken very seriously and will be respected and supported during lessons by using adaptations to support each student's needs.

Music is a way to communicate without words, My goal is to teach students to play music, not just notes. I want them to shine as musicians and to build up an important part of themselves. A part that can be courageous enough to share something that took effort to make, something beautiful.
